With deep sorrow and a heavy heart, I
extend my sincere and heartfelt condolences to the immediate family, the royal
household, and the entire community on the passing of our revered traditional
title holder – Sardauna Adamawa, a noble prince, elder statesman, and former
Controller General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Musdafa.
The late distinguish prince was not only a
symbol of royalty and tradition, but also a man of honour who served his
country and people with utmost dedication and distinction, while his
contributions to national service and traditional leadership remain a legacy of
honour, humility, and dedication.
His leadership within the Customs Service
was marked by professionalism, integrity, and patriotic zeal. Even after
retirement, his commitment to national unity, cultural heritage, and the
well-being of his people remained unwavering.
His loss is not just to the family or the
traditional institution, but to the entire nation, which has lost a true
patriot, mentor, and role model. We will remember him for his wisdom, humility,
generosity, and his lifelong devotion to public service.
I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives
his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, and grants him Aljannatul Firdaus.
May He also comfort the family, strengthen the royal household, and grant us
all the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
