Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has
commended the Adamawa State chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC,
Comrade Shehu Yohanna, for resigning his appointment with the PDP government in
the State.
Atiku in a post on his social media handles,
said Yohanna's resignation reaffirming his commitment to the ADC.
The former VP stressed that the action
underscores ADC Chairman's steadfastness for the journey ahead, in restoring
true democracy in the country.
Atiku urged Yohanna to work with the Chairman
of the State Transition Leadership team, Sadiq Dasin, and all stakeholders for
the success of their party.
Yohanna had on Wednesday afternoon, sent a
letter of resignation to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, quitting his position as
Senior Special Assistant, Community Mobilization and Peaceful Coexistence.
The memo routed through the Secretary to the Adamawa
State Government indicates the resignation was with effect from November 12,
2025.
