Adamawa State Commissioner of Police
Command, CP Dankombo Morris, has commended journalists in the state for the
promotion of peace and unity in their reportage.
CP Dankombo made the
commendation when he received in audience a delegation from the Nigeria Union
of Journalists (NUJ), Adamawa State Chapter, led by its Chairman, Comrade
Ishaka Donald Dedan.
The Adamawa Police Boss warmly
welcomed the delegation and assured its members of the Command’s unwavering
commitment to providing the necessary support that will sustain the cordial
working relationship existing between the Police and the Newsmen.
He also reaffirmed the
Command’s readiness to collaborating with the NUJ in areas of mutual interest
for the betterment of the state.
Speaking earlier, Chairman of the
Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Ishaka Donald Dedan, emphasized the
importance of collaboration in ensuring sustainable peace, security, and
promoting synergy between the two organizations.
Dedan appreciates CP Dankombo
for security measures taken which according to him reduced crime in the state, promising
that the Adamawa State Chapter of the Union will continue to partner the Police
to ensuring that law and order prevail in the state.
The visit was aimed at
fostering and strengthening the already existing good working relationship
between the Command and Journalists in the state.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing willingness to work together towards peace, progress, and development in the state.
