A former Managing Director of NIRSAL and Senatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Adamawa Central, Aliyu Abdulhameed Abbati, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the people of Gombi Local Government Area following a tragic attack on Guyaku community.

In a statement issued, Abbati described the incident, which occurred on Sunday, as “senseless, painful, and condemnable,” noting that it came shortly after a similar attack in Wuro-Ladde community of Hong Local Government Area.

He expressed deep sympathy with the affected families and the entire people of Gombi, saying the attack represents a dark moment for Adamawa State.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those who have suffered losses. I stand in complete solidarity with the people of Gombi,” he said.

Abbati reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for peace, security, and the protection of lives and property across the state.

He also commended the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the prompt visit to the affected community to assess the situation and reassure residents of the government’s commitment to their safety.

According to Abbati, the governor’s visit demonstrates leadership and empathy at a critical time.

He called on residents to remain united, vigilant, and supportive of one another in the face of the challenges.

Abbati further prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased, speedy recovery for the injured, and strength for the bereaved families.

The attack has heightened concerns over security in parts of Adamawa, with renewed calls for strengthened measures to safeguard lives and restore peace in affected communities.
