Grassroots Global News (GG News) Felicitates with Boya on his Appointment as Director, City Boy Movement, Adamawa State.

 

The management and staff of Grassroots Global News (GG News) – an online registered media platform -  wish to felicitate with Honourable (Barrister) Aliyu Wakili Boya, Member, representing Fufore/Song Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, National Assembly, on his well deserved appointment as the Director, City Boy Movement, Adamawa State.  

 

The City Boy Movement is a youth-driven political support organization and advocacy platform in Nigeria closely aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda. It was established in 2022 initially as part of Tinubu’s presidential campaign and has since continued as an active support group for his administration and political agenda.

 

City Boy Movement’s core purpose includes: mobilize, educate, and empower Nigerian youths and women in support of President Tinubu’s governance and policies; build grassroots coalitions to enhance awareness of government initiatives and achievements; and strengthen youth engagement in politics and governance across all states and in the Nigerian diaspora.

 

The Movement operates through state directors and coordinators, including chapters across Nigeria’s states and nominated diaspora leaders, to broaden its reach and impact.

 

Some of the strategic goals and activities of the City Boy Movement include: Support for the Renewed Hope Agenda: City Boy actively promotes, defends, and explains the policies and programs of Tinubu’s administration, especially to youths and grassroots communities; Youth Mobilization and Political Engagement: The Movement engages young Nigerians to increase political awareness, civic participation, and to build support for Tinubu ahead of electoral cycles, especially the 2027 general election push.

Others include Grassroots Outreach and Capacity Building –  through empowerment programs, awards, community sensitization, and partnerships with government initiatives (e.g., work with the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas) the Movement seeks to improve economic opportunities and inclusive growth; Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement – City Boy organizes forums urging Nigerians — especially youth — to embrace peace, unity, security, and collective responsibility.
