An Abuja delegation from the African Democratic Congress – ADC, had visited Engineer Diaulhaq Abubakar Mnse in Yola, requesting him to join their political party - the ADC, pointing out reasons for the party’s request.

The delegation’s first speaker, Abubakar Turaki who is a senior party stalwart, highlighted ADC’s vision and values, stressing that Engineer Diaulhaq Abubakar’s personality, leadership qualities, humanitarian gestures, and popularity due to his human relation with fellow human beings, would no doubt strengthen their movement.

We are here to invite you formally into our party – the ADC. The party is expanding and gaining acceptability, therefore, we need credible people like you - people who command respect among their peers, who can empower youth with skills to give them a sense of belonging and pride. We believe your coming on board will give ADC new energy and direction, hoping you will grant our request.” - Abubakar Turaki

Abubakar Turaki who revealed how party stakeholders in the likes of Senator Abdul’azaz, Senator Binani, Umarana and co, consented for the visit, adding that there host is probably going to be in a special meeting with top ADC key stakeholders like former vice president Atiku Abubakar, all in an effort to pull him into the party, praising Engineer Diaulhaq Abubakar for his past, present and even future contributions to community development, urging him to align with them for what they described as “a progressive journey towards a better society.”

Another speaker Yahya HammaJulde, who described Engineer Diaulhaq Abubakar as “a man of the people” for his doors are always open to the vulnerable and less privileged individuals, positing that his heart remains committed to serving humanity without seeking anything in return.

ADC had already earmarked 50% positions strictly for youth, and that if you agree to join us, you are going to be given a free hand either to contest or sponsor a candidate. We are urging you to join us in this movement. Note, what distinguishes you is not just the number of people you assisted, but the consistency and humility with which you do so.” - Yahya HammaJulde

Yahya HammaJulde emphasized that in every community, their host (Abubakar) touches, he leaves behind a legacy of hope. For the widows, orphans, struggling students, and ambitious youths, Engineer Diaulhaq Abubakar represents more than an individual - he symbolizes opportunity, compassion, and leadership rooted in service.

Mark Wose who spoke last, described Engineer Diaulhaq Abubakar’s youth empowerment as an initiative that was designed to unlock the potential of society’s most dynamic group – the youth, by equipping them with the skills, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive in today’s world.

A society where every young person is not only seen as a beneficiary of development, but as a driver of innovation, economic growth, and social change.

All that can be said had already been mentioned by the previous speakers. Notwithstanding, this is emphasizing on our hope to grant our request and be part of us, so that together we can change the narrative. Your personality in the eyes of our people, your integrity, your humbleness, your reputation and desire to often assist, speak volumes of you.” - Mark Wose

He concludes that it is this towering reputation as a builder of people and a friend of the common man that explains why political actors across divides are eager to have him in their fold.

In his response, Engineer Diaulhaq Abubakar, welcomed the delegation warmly, expressing appreciation for the confidence they reposed in him. He however stated that such a political decision could not be taken in haste or in isolation.

I sincerely thank you for considering me worthy of this invitation. It shows the level of trust and regard you have for me. If it is about my business or else, I can take a decision alone. But as you know, politics is about either interest of the politicians or that of the people. I actually need time to first consult with my people and hear their own side. These are people who called me to venture into certain activities in politics. I will take your request to them, discuss it thoroughly, and thereafter communicate my decision to you in no distance time.” Diaulhaq Abubakar

He assured the delegation of his continued commitment to youth empowerment, enlightenment on civic responsibilities, initiatives on self-reliance, peace, unity, and progress in Adamawa state and Nigeria as his mother land, regardless of political alignment.

The meeting, which lasted for a while, ended on a cordial note with both sides pledging to keep communication channels open.

Beyond politics, Engineer Diaulhaq Abubakar is widely celebrated as a philanthropist whose generosity has touched countless lives. For years, he has invested his resources in youth empowerment, skill acquisition, and community development. His philosophy is that a society can only progress when its young people are given the tools to succeed.
