The sum of N10 million has been earmarked by
Barrister Aliyu Wakili Boya, Member representing Fufore/Song Federal
Constituency, and House Committee Chairman on Police Institutions, for disbursement
to victims of the fourteen communities affected by flood in Song LGA of Adamawa
State to ameliorate their sufferings, pledging to liaise with other
organizations and Government agencies for more interventions.
Disbursement committee chairman, who is also the
Director-General, Boya Campaign Organization, Farauta Luka, commended Barrister
Aliyu Wakili Boya for the gesture, calling on the representatives of the
affected communities to fear God and ensure transparency and all-inclusive distribution
to all manner of the affected individuals as well.
Hassan Dabuto who is the APC chairman in Song,
revealed that his people have witnessed the terrible destruction caused by the
floods that swept through their towns and villages, where families have lost
their homes, farmers have lost their crops, and many among them have lost the
peace of mind that comes with knowing that tomorrow will be better than today.

Abdulmumini, explained that beyond this immediate assistance, Aliyu Wakili Boya
is working with relevant agencies and authorities to ensure that stronger
measures are put in place — better drainage systems, more effective disaster
response, and long-term planning — so that floods like this do not continue to
destroy their lives and livelihoods.
A representative
of Wuro-Babba explained that this gesture is not a handout, rather a hand of
solidarity. According to him, it is a reminder that with Boya when one of them is
in pain, all of them must feel the pain, and when one of them rises, they must all
rise together. Appreciating Aliyu Boya for giving them a sense of belonging.
Another
community representative from Gudure Ward, revealed that Barrister Aliyu Wakili
Boya has brought back hope to their lives after the flood had washed away their
houses, farms, worship centres, and business places, assuring that it cannot
wash away their spirit, it cannot wash away their resilience, and it cannot
wash away the bond that holds them together as one people with Boya as their
representative.
The communities also await another phase of the
relief items as promised by Barrister Aliyu Wakili Boya precisely from the
North East Development Commission, National Emergency Management Agency, other
relevant organizations and groups, as well as highly spirited and wealthy
individuals.
