SUSPECTED STOLEN CAR RECOVERED, WHILE ONE ARRESTED FOR FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES

 



The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one Mubarak Abdulkadiri, a resident of Shagari, Yola South LGA, for alleged cheating and having in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle.

 

Police statement by PPRO Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje reveals that on 1st February 2025, Ahmed Salihu, a manager of Two Star Filling Station, Mubi, reported that the suspect went to his filling station and bought fuel worth ₦97,850 and collected additional ₦10,000 under false presence, pretending to pay through POS. However, he fled in a Honda CRV with foreign registration number HJ58URU.

 

Following swift response by gallant officers attached to Divisional Police Headquarters, Mubi North, he was arrested at Mubi Toll Gate, during investigation he was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the vehicle’s ownership and there is no document proofing ownership or justify his claims and determine the true ownership.

 

The Adamawa State Police Command urges anyone with a rightful claim to visit Divisional Police Headquarters, Mubi North with valid proof of ownership or contact the command's PPRO on 08065604764 for further inquiries.
